At the winery, our wines are kind of like our children. We care for them, watch them grow into something we’re ready to send out into the world, and then when they go, we hope that they fill the ones they're with full of contentment. And if you ask us what our goal is for our own (human) children, our main hope is just that they don’t grow up to be an a-hole. It’s that parenting strategy that inspires the name of this wine, as we hope that even when they’re tequila fueled, as this red blend aged for 2.5 years in used tequila barrels and full of agave and luxardo cherry flavors is, that they act more “anejo” (old or vintage in Spanish) than like an a-hole.
